So put some thoughts on a house design with a sizeable garage.
Actual house on sale.
Extend the front out flush,
Pull the patio doors further out in line with the kitchen,
Just an idea, killing time.

I like the double story for it’s com pactness as it’s literally just a place to rest, but also the first floor leads off the landing into the garage, along a gantry to a large glass office space over looking the garage and vehicles below. With steps leading down into the garage area to the side.
The detailing lighting rig would be mounted to the underside of the glass surrounded office above.

Not having a room above the garage (or, a double garage) is just wasting space, though. Right now there’s nothing above the garage on my two-story home; I’m going to be fixing that if i can.

I want two lifts on the left hand side of the garage, and I’ve went with a glass surrounded office over bay two of the garage with a detailing lighting rig mounted below it
It's a doodling work in progress and I'd also want a cars mat cleaning station and a wheel cleaning station not to mention large chemical storage area and garage toilet and shower area.

My ex used to have a place that started out as 3 bedrooms with a detached two- car garage. A previous owner took out some walls, added a second two-car garage, then filled in the space between the garages and house to create a big family room. 2 bedrooms, four-car garage - yeah, sounds about right to me. Too bad we couldn't keep the place...

This is just a pipe dream of mine.
Have some numbers rolls my way, finish work and just clean a few cars each week to relax.

I would eliminate the second master bathroom door and capture that upstairs hallway space in the master bedroom.
Making the front and back fascades “flush” would be a waste of time and money and it would make it lose some architectural interest. Expanding the footprint of the garage and making it two-storey would be an excellent idea, but leaving all of that upper floor space open would be a missed opportunity. Leaving some of it open for a proper lift is good, but imagine being able to lift cars to the second floor and parking them in you “office” space upstairs. That would be excellent!

There is only one main bathroom for the house, en-suite for bedroom one and a down stairs sink and toilet.
If I had money it would be a new build on land I find suitable, not a renovation. The house is in an area I don’t like, it’s not bad as much congested.
I like the idea of that house as it’s compact, yet still suitable for guests but not too much for one person.
The whole suspended glass office is a frivolous waste of space and that’s perfect.
I haven't even added a games room, cinema room and other detailing area.

I like it!
We bought an existing house and its in a small lot so my expansion options, especially the garage, are limited.
